23:00 its not loud!? Majority of the reviews i've looked up a lot of people complain about "oh there's too much road noise, its unbearable!!!!" But yeah it does sound pretty quiet. Plus with the BOSE system just turn the volume up to 10 and i'm sure it will drown out the noise even more. I'm not sure who's driving in complete silence,, Of course, if your a reviewer, you will hear road noise when your in a video talking to yourself. But I guess everyone is different. Makes me want to go test drive a 2022-2023 Civic Touring.

New sub here. Great vid! I currently drive a Silverado Crew Cab and the gas consumption is ridiculous driving back and forth to work so I'm looking to buy a Trax Activ. What are the recommendations for reducing carbon? I'd like to get the most out of this new engine.

We just bought a 2023 Cx 5 select preferred. First Mazda and so far it’s a very nice vehicle. Non turbo and fast enough for our tastes. Mileage average is about 27mpg all driving, but on a recent 400 mile round trip adventure we ran at 33-35 mpg with the AC on. A few things to consider. Cargo space is smaller than our previous Sorento but enough as it’s just for two old folks. More space needed well the seats do fold down. A couple of personal issues being why did Mazda decide to use the gloss black plastic around the shift lever and window controls in the arm rests? It shows every smudge, water drop and dust particle. I think it would be a good idea to just keep the soft touch material around these areas and be done with it. The no remote unless you use the Mazda app on a phone is really kind of a dumb idea and is only free for a couple of years then its pay to play, dumb. We like it, peppy, handles well, good fuel efficiency, comfortable.

I don't trust Honda turbo. I don't want direct injection ONLY.

Took my 2015 Outback 2.5 to 394k on original powertrain. Unfortunately I now have a combustion leak into the coolant circuit either because of head gasket or cracked head. Because I have nothing to lose, I've tried multiple sealers but none have worked. And I was quoted at least $3,000 to take apart engine to replace the head gasket. Which just doesn't seem worth it at this point.

Looks better vs past but still lacks something. Headlights look a lil like mazda3 headlight design.. but not as cool as that. Hondas always seem to be behind in the cool design factor. We just purchased a Subaru Ascent Touring, honestly price, value and quality Subaru wins. The Hyundai and Kia gets so much love (for good reason they offered a competitive option against the Tahoe etc) but after owning two Kia’s and one Hyundai and now our third Subaru, Subaru hands down all day. While the warranty was good on the Kia our Sorento needed more than a few +$200 repairs.

the headlight placement is what really bugs me. obviously headlights cost thousands of dollars to repair/replace, putting them lower and at the edge of the bumper seems like a bad idea. that part of the car is very prone to being bumped and scratched, breaking a headlight/headlight housing is gonna be more serious and costly than a scratch or dent on the paint.

We bought a Palisade new in 2020 and still have it. Good review, but on a few things I disagree with our host. The interior is not whisper quiet but is not loud either. We did a 2000 mile trip in the heat of summer and the engine had no issue staying cool running all day at 75 mph with the AC cranked. I believe the 'old school' engine and transmission are a good thing. CVTs have done nothing but fail in most cars. Give me actual gear ratios all day. And the engine has 13:1 compression (and requires only 87 octane) for better power/emissions, and incorporates Atkinson cycle for improved efficiency of its larger displacement. Hence no turbo needed. Longevity wise, it is no different than any new vehicle these days - be meticulous with the maintenance or there may be trouble. Gone are the days of getting away with being lazy maintaining our vehicles. NEVER go anywhere near the extended oil change intervals most manufacturers recommend. Our dealer told us to change oil every 3500 to 4000 miles, which we do with full synthetic every time and it doesn't burn a drop so far. Yes they should have added port injection as well, but it's not the end of the world. I installed a cheap catch can and it captures all sorts of gnarly crud, especially during our cold winter months. I check it every one or two fill ups. Beyond that just get the intake tract walnut blasted every 80k to 100k. Same with the transmission and driveline; change the fluids earlier than recommended and it will treat you right. Hyundai's AWD system is exceptional. Those rear shocks are so big, I'm guessing, because of the third row seating combined with the 5000 lb tow rating. We got a hitch installed from brand new, and our Palisade easily tows a 3500 lb boat while also carrying 5 or 6 adults and luggage. The ride remains smooth and controlled. Overall we are very happy with our 2020 Palisade and plan to keep it for a long time yet.
